The tomb of Cham Emperor in Bac Binh (Rural District, Vietnam)

 

From Kega Lighthouse Resort, go to the North about 100km to Luong Son commune, Bac Binh rural district, there is a famous relic - the tomb of Cham emperor: Po Klong Mo H'Nai. He was considered as the last king of a kingdom that existed for more than a thousand years on the Indochinese peninsula.

According to Cham historical records, King Po Klong Mo H'Nai whose real name is Pomuhata, ascended the throne in 1622. He had two wives and one of them was the daughter of Lord Nguyen, who later became the princess of Cham - Nguyen Thi Thuong. King Po Klong Mo H'Nai was respected and loved by Cham people because he had made many contributions to the construction of irrigation canals to promote cultivation, animal husbandry, and cultivation to contribute to a prosperous and well-being kingdom. In 1627, he ceded the throne to his son-in-law, Po KLong Gahul.
