Ninh Thuan Museum

For tourists that have the first time to visit Phan Rang-Thap Cham, their first impression for this land might be the majestic beauty of the Square-Monument-Museum architectural complex. Not talking about the inner content but looking at the outside architecture, the Museum has done its job well when adorning the area of this city more beautiful and bringing more cultural depth.

Currently, the museum keeping thousands of artifacts and press publications through the historical periods of the nation. This is also the first historical museum of Ninh Thuan province after a long period of splitting and merging.

Ninh Thuan Museum is a place to keep artifacts of historical and cultural heritage of the ethnic groups in the province such as: Kinh, Cham, Raglai, Hoa, Churu, K'ho .... Here is preserved and display thousands of precious artifacts collected on the culture and history of the resistance of the army and the people of Ninh Thuan province. Exhibits are very diverse, unique, show the creation of local people on the traditional culture of the ethnic groups ... In recent years, Ninh Thuan Museum has attracted a lot of tourists to visit in order to learn about the history and cultural diversity of the ethnic groups in the province.

Through the process of intensive collection, the Museum now has over 40,000 rare and precious artifacts, including many materials, with typical historical and cultural values; many researches on traditional jobs and customs of ethnic minorities in the province have been carried out, such as mat weaving mats in An Thanh (Ninh Phuoc); knitting hammock in Khanh Nhon (Ninh Hai) and Grave leaving ceremony and new rice ceremony of Raglai, Cham wedding ceremony ...

More than 20 years ago, in addition to the three areas of Cham tower relics: Hoa Lai, Poklong Garai, Polome and Pi Nang Tac Stone Trap Relics have been granted national monuments, so far 14 relics have been ranked as national relics and 27 relics classified as provincial relics. In addition, the ranked relics are interested in and perform well the function of preserving and promoting the value of relics in the Province.

Visiting the Ninh Thuan Museum, visitors will have a holistic and valuable overview of the history, culture and customs of many traditional occupations and customs of ethnic minorities in the province through many historical periods.
